Benjamin Henry has been with us since Christmas weekend 2018. He had been with another rescue, Swine Country Mini Pig Rescue, located in Paso Robles, CA. I reached out to them looking for a companion for Finnick (Finnick pictured to the right) She felt Benjamin would be a good fit for us and boy was she right!
Ms. Olivia Joyce was our first pig rescued and she wears her crown well around here! Her situation wasn't horrible, but definitely wasn't ideal. When her family reached out for help, we gladly accepted! She was about 50 lbs over weight, spent little to no time outside of her stall, needed to be spayed and vaccinated, and was unfortunately not socialized around other pigs. Because of this she shares her space with Adaline and Linus. She has been with us for almost two years now and is living her best life!!
Mr. Moon came to us from another rescue, Swine Country Mini Pig Rescue, in Paso Robles, CA. I don't know why, but he had absolutely no interest in adoptions (insert sad face here) He had a loving home with a family in Southern CA, but when his human dad became ill the family had to make the heart wrenching decision to find him a home. He has been with Swine Country for over a year. He's made friends with Bill, who arrived at the same time, and we were asked if we would be willing to give these two sweet souls a sanctuary to call their own.
Is Bill not the sweetest face you've ever seen?? Bill's start to life was not a good one, he was neglected as a piglet and as a result has some trust issues and some health issues. There is something about this sweet soul that I immediately fell in love with. Welcome to sanctuary life, handsome!
Poppy is her name and being adorable is what she is best at!!!! This sweet little love bug was rescued by a wonderful couple who heard of her not so great situation. Poppy was living with another pig who was sadly attacked and killed by dogs, she was without proper shelter, was being fed dog food (this is not a good food choice for pigs) and was just not in a good place.
Once her rescuers heard about her they took no time to go and get her. For 3 weeks they kept her but knew they just weren't set up to give Poppy a forever home. Lucky for us, they contacted us and after some structure rearranging, this sweet soul landed herself in sanctuary life!!! She is absolutely the sweetest most loving pig I've ever met and although her people miss her terribly they know they're welcome anytime and that she is safe!
Welcome to All Souls, Ms. Poppy!!!

Welcome to All Souls, Ms. Poppy!!!

Honestly, they don't get much sweeter than this handsome fella! Meet Kosher!!! He came to us from a wonderful family who realized that he just needed other pigs. After just about a year of talking and of course becoming good friends with his hooman mama, Kosher arrived summer of 2020 and has settled in beautifully! He and Poppy are pretty much joined at the hips.
Welcome to living in dirt, Kosher! WE LOVE YOU

Ms little Penelope!!! Ugh, so cute! She is full of energy and keeps busy all day everyday. She is in with Benjamin, Bill, and Moon and does a pretty good job of "being one of the boys" as in she doesn't take any s^*t from them! She and Benjamin share space now since we lost our sweet Finnick. I know she has helped Benjamin's heart heal from the loss of his friend.
Penelope arrived at ASAR in Oct of 2020 and was about 6 months old. I don't think she will be a very big pig as she's still very little.

We lovingly refer to this group as the "Fab Five" These lovely souls came to us in 2020 after needing evacuation from one of the wildfires to hit our area! Meet Boots, Maggie, Inks, Scout, and Oreo. This group was originally rescued by some wonderful humans from an animal testing facility! As you can imagine, they're extremely scared and distrusting of people! Boots is the only one who will come up to you for love! The others aren't as bad as when they first arrived but I don't think they'll ever except human touch, and who can blame them?!
